Worship transcends music. Worship travels beyond all art forms into the heart with gratitude, earnestness and sincerity. If the camera crew set aside their personal agendas and in their hearts, gave their talents to God, to proclaim His worth, then they were part of the worship experience as well.
Moreover, is it possible that even this video is a digital ‘monument’ to the Lord? Any art captured that was done for God becomes a lasting pillar to His greatness. Any time we witness this type of art (an album, a youtube video, a famous sculpture), we are invited to join the artists in adulation.
It is awesome how they combined many forms of art into one piece. How creative is too creative? I mean, one’s art, can be lost on the audience given that they are to participate in the worship experience. Could we pull something like this off at WWC?
I know the cuts made it difficult to observe, but I think there are some things physically he is doing to communicate life that we all could glean from his experience.
